City Project One

This story started from my granny's home. Grannies' homes all seem to be taken from the pages of Bradbury with past alive and carefully preserved through decades, fossiled in photo albums, being carefully dusted on the shelves and by chance mined from the chest of drawers. Here with just a bit of curiosity, you can come across the lock of your hair from the first haircut or a stack of birthday postcards from far relatives dated 1965. At the far corner, you may be surprised to find a small neat box with badges shaped like a red flag with incomprehensible abbreviations on. There between these diamonds have I found the postcard album of Novosibirsk.

Inspecting every one of them I was so amazed by minor changes through years in some and so great in other places of the city that an idea formed in my mind to depict this changes making relatively the same shots nowadays and compare them. The actual making took more than expected and one famous photographer had made a whole photobook dedicated to comparing old and new Nsk, but I decided to finish anyway. Enjoy.
